Expense Systems Manager Are you an experienced professional with a passion for managing expense systems and ensuring operational efficiency? What you'll do in this position: Oversee Compliance Review of Expense Reports Supervise a team of student employees that perform compliance reviews of expense reports. Develop the compliance review strategy of both random selection and data analysis reviews in accordance with audit principles. Develop and maintain Excel macro or other analytical tools built for the data analysis reviews of expense reports. Assist in Expense Reporting System Maintenance Serve on a team that maintains the expense reporting system. Build expense categories, business rules, delegate assignments and workflows necessary to manage expense reports and support user needs in the expense reporting system. Develop and provide reports from the expense reporting system requested by campus units. Advise University Personnel on Proper Procedure in Filing Expense Reports/Travel Authorizations Supervise university help desk. Advise university personnel on appropriate course of action based upon specific questions about policies and procedures. Provide training to campus units regarding expense reporting and associated policies and procedures. Provide Support for University Credit Cardholders Assist cardholders with their questions regarding their university credit card account. Supervise Student Employees Supervise a team of eight students, which consists of the expense reporting help desk, review of expense reports, and payment assistants. Support Per Diem Payment System Assist with maintenance of per diem payment system. Maintain secure access to banking platform for payments. What qualifies you for this role: Required A firm commitment to the mission of BYU. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business management, or a related field, OR the equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Bachelor's degree and four years of related work experience. Skills, abilities, knowledge, licenses, certifications: Knowledge of accounting principles including accounts receivable and payable, auditing, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Computer skills including MS Access, Excel, and Word. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with faculty, staff, and administration employees. Ability to resolve concerns and consult with campus controllers and financial assistants. Effective supervisory skills including training, motivating, and reviewing performance of a team of student employees. Ability to work with all major university financial systems including PeopleSoft, Chrome River, Fast Track, Business Objects, My Financial Center, Workday. Ability to multi-task and be organized.
