We're currently searching for an Expeditor to join our team, help us grow and scale and continue our tradition of success. The ideal candidate will be extremely organized with an excellent attention to detail and have great cross-functional communication skills. As a natural born organizer, you will have a strong talent for project coordination and delegation. Ultimately, you are motivated by the desire to deliver an exceptional customer experience and improve organizational operations. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Work with different heads of department to monitor inventory levels, track down shorts, assess supply vendors and ensure delivered supplies meet quality standards. Investigate component shortages, communicate with suppliers to determine expected delivery dates and inform Project Managers and internal stakeholders of potential delays. Maintain production schedules for ongoing projects and prevent delays that can affect delivery. Ensure interdepartmental communication for improved coordination of productive operations. Monitor project delivery timelines, check work quality against company requirements and specifications and ensure compliance with regulations. Collaborate with Program Managers for updates on delivery timelines. Compile, record and report project performance and progress to management and key stakeholders. Work closely with Sales, Operations, Procurement and Engineering to coordinate current order flow and ensure on-time delivery for our customers Identify key requirements needed for each build and communicate to all cross-functional teams and external vendors Develop and manage tracking documentation and report out to key stakeholders Proactively follow up on any issues and reporting status Analyze, evaluate, and overcome project issues, and produce reports for management and stakeholders Obtain additional information as necessary from different departments in the company Education And Experience Requirements Associates degree in related field or equivalent education and experience required. 3 years of material planning or expediting experience required; 2+ years of experience working with automotive/truck/OE or heavy equipment design desired. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, required. Training And Job Knowledge Requirements Extreme organizational skills and attention to detail required Strong collaboration skills with the demonstrated ability to successfully work as part of a team. Strong Microsoft Office skills Organizational skills and the ability to manage several different tasks/projects simultaneously. This position will adhere to the Battle Motors Environmental Health and Safety Program by following all safety rules, procedures, practices, training, and safe use of equipment; this includes use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. This individual will work in a way that stresses the importance of preventing injury, accidents, or illnesses to themselves or co-workers by correcting or reporting unsafe situations, incidents, or occurrences to their Supervisor immediately.
