About the Organization
Our organization, incorporated in the USA as a 501c3, tax-exempt entity, serves as the fundraising arm for global programming dedicated to supporting uprooted individuals, including refugees, internally displaced persons, migrants, and victims of trafficking. We work collaboratively with the International Catholic Migration Commission (ICMC) to secure crucial financial resources, with a primary goal of providing vital support for global programs and services directly offered by ICMC, as well as to ICMC national member Catholic Bishops' Conferences worldwide, and other Catholic-inspired organizations.
Headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, ICMC is committed to serving and safeguarding uprooted individuals. It addresses the challenges people face on the move and in their communities, advocating for rights-based policies and durable solutions. Through its extensive worldwide membership of Catholic Bishops Conferences and partnerships with governmental and non-governmental organizations, ICMC maintains a direct operational, advocacy, and partnership presence in every region, making a profound impact on some of the most vulnerable populations globally.
Established in 1951 and operating under the guidance of the Vatican Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development and Vatican Secretariat of State, ICMC maintains a commitment to inclusive service to all migrants and refugees in need, without regard for religious, ethnic, cultural, or political affiliations. Thus, it collaborates with governments, non-governmental organizations, and religious institutions. The core mission revolves around advocating for and safeguarding the dignity and rights of migrants, refugees, and forcibly displaced individuals. ICMC assists and supports those compelled to leave their homes due to conflict, persecution, or natural disasters.
