Details of the offer

This position contributes to the mission of the Carroll County Child Advocacy Center, Inc. by providing general day to day leadership of the operation and general well being of the center.

Duties and responsibilities

Maintain strict standards of confidentiality;

Ensure smooth operation of the CC-CAC, which includes orchestrating victim assistance efforts, maintaining records on financial performance, budget, staffing, strategic planning, and compliance with all government regulations;

Identify, develop and recommend to the Board of Directors (BOD) the goals and objectives of the CC-CAC in accordance with the needs of the community and recommend changes, modifications and additions to programs and services;

Assist the BOD in the formulation of policy, procedures, and activities to ensure their implementation;

Develop and implement appropriate policies, procedures and technologies to ensure compliance with and adherence to all local, state, and national requirements and professional standards relative to management and tracking child abuse cases.

Maintain the CAC's accreditation standards and facilitate processes for re-accreditation as needed.

Prepare and submit grant applications and funding proposals and monitor their status through conclusion;

Maintain a strong working relationship with the BOD, community groups, partner agencies, government officials, grantors, and foundations to help achieve the goals of the CC-CAC by providing verbal and/or written updates as required or deemed necessary;

Provide direct supervision and training to the CC-CAC employees, including financial staff and other staff hired, as well as volunteers;

Maintain network relationships with other statewide and national organizations devoted to the problem of child abuse;

Oversee forensic interviews and schedule medical exams in accordance with CC-CAC policy

Coordinate and facilitate Multi-disciplinary team meetings;

Prepare and recommend an annual budget in conjunction with the finance committee of the BOD. Assist in providing the proper fiscal records and reporting within the time frame required;

Ensure strict financial responsibility and adherence to the CC-CAC budget;

Ensure that the facility is maintained and utilized in a manner safe and comfortable to children;

Maintain the CC-CAC policies and procedures manual;

Maintain all communications, including the CC-CAC Facebook page, website and other relevant social media;

He or she will be required to maintain CAC training as deemed necessary by the BOD;

Perform all other duties as assigned by the BOD.

Approximate Percent of Time Spent on Essential Functions

; ie. donor relations, funding proposals, prospecting new sources of funding, grant management and budget adherence; 30%

; ie. maintaining professional relationship with the BOD, reviewing CC-CAC goals, objectives, strategic planning, develop and implement policies and procedures; 20%

; communications, social media, public presentations; 20%

; ie. maintaining all accreditation standards and network relationships, compliance with government regulations, maintaining required training; 15%

; Maintaining records, staffing, overseeing forensic interviews and scheduling medical exams, Family Advocacy as needed. 15%

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

Bachelor's Degree (in a human service field preferred, but not necessary)

Previous experience in social work, human services, or child advocacy centers (preferred but not necessary)

Knowledge, skill and abilities:

Ability to work independently as well as on a team with CAC staff members;

Excellent Communication Skills (both in person and over phone/email);

Ability to work in a professional manner with members of other agencies;

Sensitivity to diversity issues;

Experience with grant management required;

Skilled in Microsoft Office and general computer application;

Proactive self-starter; problem solver

Knowledgeable of community resources;

Specialized and on-going training will be provided

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $59,533.58 per year
