Job summary
The Executive Assistant's primary responsibility is to provide administrative and operational support to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Human Resources (AVCHR) and the HR leadership team.The EA ensures that AVCHR assignments/requests/commitments are on track and completed prior to deadlines.The EA must analyze, prioritize, and keep track of multiple pieces of complex and often confidential information to provide deft facilitation and processing of information and correspondence.

Responsibilities
• Oversee administrative functions related to ongoing projects.• Ensure AVCHR assignments/requests/commitments are on track and completed prior to deadlines.• Analyze, prioritize, and keep track of multiple pieces of complex and often confidential information.• Manage complex schedules, including requests for appointments, meetings, events, and travel.• Coordinate agendas, technical support, and logistics for recurring HR meetings.• Serve as the HR budget manager.• Supervise student workers and ensure adequate coverage at the office.• Anticipate and resolve conflicts with schedules and priorities.• Communicate and interact with contacts at various levels within and outside of the university.• Operate in a fast-paced environment and complete special projects.
Requirements
• Graduation from high school and three years of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience; or graduation from a two-year secretarial science or business administration program and one year of experience as described above; or graduation from a four-year college or university, preferably with major emphasis on Business administration or a related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.• Experience as an administrative assistant to a senior administrator preferred.• Experience with emerging technologies and social media preferred.• Experience with Banner Software is a plus.• Demonstrate a professional demeanor while interacting and communicating with contacts at various levels.• Ability to manage the function during times of crisis and facilitate resolution.• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.• Effective decision-making and delegation skills.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.• Knowledge of human resources policies and procedures.
