The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to two senior leaders including managing calendars, planning and securing travel, preparing documents for meetings with volunteers and sponsors, documenting financial activities, developing activity and informative reports, volunteer relationship management, completing logistics for meetings and project work as assigned.
This is a remote position with a preference that the candidate lives within the SouthWest region states - Arkansas, Colorado, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, and Wyoming.

Some of the responsibilities include:
Complete a wide range of administrative tasks for senior leaders including managing active calendars of appointments; composing and preparing correspondence; arranging complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas; researching and compiling information and materials for meetings; handling incoming requests; preparing expense reports. Pull and manipulate reports. Prepares documents for meetings with staff, volunteers, and donors, including presentations, reports, etc. Maintains an orderly filing system for correspondence and other documents. Work independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects. Acts as project manager for special projects, which may include planning and coordinating multiple presentations and disseminating information. Here are some of the requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. 3 years of experience providing administrative support. Proven ability in working and making decisions quickly and independently with little to no direct supervision. Possess exceptional organizational skills, detail oriented and experienced in handling sensitive and confidential information. Excellent oral and verbal communication skills, and skilled in the creation of clear and concise reports, evaluations, and other narrative pieces. Ability to lift and/or move large objects (such as boxes) with the expectation that heavier items would be broken down into smaller components or requesting additional assistance may be required before lifting and/or moving. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications: Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc. These skills are subject to testing. The expected pay range will be $22.40 to $29.20 per hour. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.
