Domaine Willamette is looking for an energetic and organized Events Lead for our beautiful Tasting Room as we head into our summer season in the heart of Oregon Wine Country. This position requires the ability to be in charge of both the sale and operation of private and offsite events, and to provide support as a Tasting Room Associate to assist our Guests and staff. This Position Offers: Competitive pay with a tip pool Generous team member discounts on dining, wine, and merchandise Continuous growth opportunities within a rapidly growing company Events Management Position: Work with the Winery Chef, Winery Ambassador Coordinator, Tasting Room Leads and General Manager to execute annual Winery Events. Monitors email for event inquiries, manage event contracts, deposit and payments. Tour potential clients through the facility or set up tours with Ambassadors or other key managers. Assemble proposals, BEOs with pricing guidance, Event plans, schematics, timeline communication as well as digital and hardcopy event folders. Create proper calendar invites notifying the appropriate team members of the event. Assist in training event staff to setup and service standards. Schedules event staff including execution and tear down of events Assists with communication and acts as a point of contact for all private events Work to promote new ideas to increase event revenue Develop relationships with vendors, caterers, and event planners to ensure high-quality events Help plan, staff and license offsite events as needed and approved by the DW GM Manage event budgets, timelines, and logistics to include labor  Oversee and train event staff to ensure exceptional customer service TOCK Management for Events in collaboration with Tasting Room Leads. Ongoing timely communication with Tasting Room Leads, General Manager and Chef for all event needs Coordination with Marketing Team for Events planning and promotion Oversees smooth progress of events by being present on the day of the event Conducts post-event review execution, success, and learning Regularly submit event calendars to keep all staff aligned with event times and staffing needs In coordination with the Winery Chef and Tasting Room Lead, running monthly Wine Pairings Dinners. Tasting Room Management Position: Handle routine purchasing transactions, which includes operating cash register and End of Day Reporting and Sampling Ability to perform all opening and closing procedures which include reviewing all reservations, staff assignments,and Tasting Room preparations/cleanliness Office Administration to include scheduling meetings and providing minutes in collaboration with the leadership team. Requirements: High school diploma or similar. A valid/current OLCC and Food Handler's Card (or be willing to obtain one prior to start date). Must be willing to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and on-site winery events. Most of these events are held over holiday weekends such as Memorial Day and Thanksgiving (Thursday - Monday) Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on issues in a timely manner. Communicate through active listening skills and gather insight into human behavior. Knowledge of WineDirect, TOCK, Square and Google Suites a plus Must have: Excellent communication skills. Highly developed organizational and time management skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel. Must be able to: Lift 40lbs and navigate stairs and hilly terrain, and stand for long periods of time. Work weekends and occasional evenings. Work well in a fast-paced environment Use discretion and keep all information confidential. Effectively present information and respond to questions appropriately. Ability to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team. Build team dynamics and synergy across departments. Support Company's effort to create a more sustainable, cross-cultural and "green" environment. Other Skills: Thorough understanding or a genuine interest in luxury wine business and terminology. Ability to educate customers about wine with passion not pretension. Independently motivated to identify and resolve issues, at department-level.
