Basic Function As part of the Wolters Kluwer Global Business Services division, the Event Planning Manager supports the Associate Director in the overall vision of a best-in-class event management team that functions as a shared service across the company. This role will assist the Associate Director with executing event plans to support the team's goals and overall growth of the Wolters Kluwer events portfolio. This role will be responsible for supporting the management of events like internal sales meetings, executive events, user conferences and incentives that expand the Wolters Kluwer brand in market, educate, as well as drive revenue expansion. The Manager will support the development and execution of the event project plan and support execution of the onsite event logistics. Lastly, the Manager will help to document and identify cost savings and cost avoidance where possible and is provided supervision and direction daily.

The role also manages vendors, partners and other third parties,
This position is remote based with travel to NYC office several times per year.
Essential Duties and responsibilities Responsibilities Include:
+ Support the overall goals of the team and organization set by the Associate Director.
+ Support the management and execution of a selected corporate events from concept to post event reconciliation that are executed to the highest possible standards, often setting the bar for best practices across the team.
+ Support the planning of the event strategy, including end-to-end management and execution of event plans.
+ Help to manage specific event production to ensure delivery on every event is best in class.
+ Manage a select number of ongoing vendor and event partner relationships, including negotiation, contract management, and invoice/payment with direction from the Associate Director.
+ Help to coordinate the management of internal briefing documents and timelines.
+ Work with marketing teams to ensure consistent strategy/messaging across all event efforts.
Other Duties Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Qualifications Education:
+ Bachelor's degree or experience equivalent required.
Experience:
+ 5+ years of experience with responsibility for developing and executing events: overall event management, branding efforts and onsite execution of event logistics.
Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications: (First list requirements, followed by preferences.)
+ Proven success in working in matrixed organizations.
+ Maintain and promote a successful and positive work environment.
+ Must have strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
+ An exceptional thinker and collaborator, and a proven ability to solve problems and drive change.
+ Proven ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously meet deadlines and communicate effectively across teams.
+ Demonstrated customer service, ability to act diplomatically, and collaborate across teams.
+ Time and project management skills, superior organization skills and attention to detail.
+ Team player, flexible, "can-do" attitude
+ Ability to work well under pressure.
+ Cvent Event Management and SMM platform experience.
+ Experience in supplier strategy and management.
+ Computer proficiency in MS Office suite required.
Travel requirements Travel required as needed for events including some weekends and evenings. Anticipated travel is up to 40%.
Physical Demands Normal office environment.
