Purpose:
You will provide a high level of coordinated support to faculty who have administrative needs related to events and conferences. You will be the single point of contact for faculty members to ensure they have a consistent, compliant, and efficient system to hold successful events and conferences. You will provide specialized administrative support related to teaching and research to increase the level of service available to faculty. You will report to the Director of the Administrative Core Team and Faculty Support. This is a part-time position.

Work with faculty members and Faculty Support staff to deliver successful events and meetings for medium to large sized groups. Events may include both virtual meetings and webinars and in-person events. Events may be held within Ross or off-site. Develop event budget and track expenses. Help manage communications of event details including event website (Ross Conference Tool). Call for proposals, venue, catering, technology needs, meeting materials, run of show, and transportation and travel support. Hire and supervise temporary event staff. Manage event websites, registration process and ecommerce activation. Arrange logistics for visitors and participants. Manage records and data collection of event activity. Ensure compliance related to any Ross branded logos and signage. Support daily operations of the faculty support department (eg. provision of floating assistance and backup support for area administrators and faculty support coordinators in their daily duties.) Manage the ecommerce activation and refund process for Ross faculty and staff. Required Qualifications* College degree or equivalent education. 4+ years of related administrative and event experience. Demonstrated excellent project management and organizational skills. Team-oriented and customer-service oriented. Experience interacting with a diverse group of people. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a high-stress fast paced environment. Additional Information Salary Information: The general salary range for this part-time position is $26,500-$29,500. You can expect to be paid a great compensation package. Factors used to determine salary include experience, knowledge and skills for the position. You are encouraged to discuss salary questions to honor alignment and transparency throughout the recruiting process. Selected candidates whose start date is 4/1/2024 or after, will not be eligible for the university FY24-25 salary/merit plan unless otherwise notified.
