Purpose Assists the Manager of Foundation Events in the implementation of fundraising events by carrying out assigned tasks, including pre-event ground work, set-up, day-of-event duties, tear-down and post event follow-up.
Primary Duties: Assists philanthropy division staff by completing assigned tasks related to events, including such areas as: facility logistics, entertainment, publicity, sponsor recognition, invitations, programs, and guest lists. Routinely undertakes unexpected errands and special trips to assist Executive Director during times of high workload. Maintains a working knowledge of ProMedica's events-related vendors and suppliers to be able to assist in event set-up and tear-down. Attends events group and event planning meetings as directed. Accomplishes work in accordance with established department policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs and safety standards. Becomes proficient in the use of related/required software to document completion of tasks. Assists at events in areas such as guest registration, auction check-out, etc. Works independently on assigned tasks on a frequent basis. Performs other duties as assigned High school diploma, or equivalent, required. Two year college degree, preferred. Must be dependable and able to carry out tasks in a timely and efficient manner. Must be able to understand directions, communicate and respond to inquiries; and have strong customer service sills. Must be flexible to work evenings and weekends. Must have dependable transportation that can be used in the performance of duties. Must be a team player, willing to pitch in where, and whenever, needed. Must be able to use Microsoft Office suite products, including Power Point and Excel. Should have knowledge of, or be able to learn, Salesforce fundraising software. Must be able to do occasional light lifting. **
