As a Senior Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our client's construction projects. Your expertise and attention to detail will be vital in accurately estimating project costs and developing competitive bids.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans and specifications to determine project requirements
- Prepare detailed estimates by accurately calculating quantities and costs of materials, labor, and equipment
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure accurate and timely cost estimates
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids and provide recommendations for selection
- Contribute to the development of cost-saving strategies and value engineering initiatives
- Review and evaluate historical cost data to improve estimating accuracy
Essential Job Functions:
- Utilize Sage Estimating software to perform quantity takeoffs and cost calculations
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of market trends and industry data
- Establish and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors
- Prepare accurate cost estimates within designated timelines
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as necessary
Skills:
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in using estimating software, especially Sage Estimating
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
