Job Title: Estimator/Project Manager (Civil Construction)Location: Naperville - Chicago MetroCompany Overview: gpac is representing a reputable civil construction company specializing in excavation, underground wet utilities, grading, and related projects. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality construction services while prioritizing safety, efficiency, and client satisfaction.Job Description:We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator/Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating project costs accurately and managing civil construction projects effectively, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.Key Responsibilities:* Estimating:Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for civil construction projects, including excavation, underground wet utilities, grading, and other related work.Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand project requirements and scope.Obtain pricing from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to incorporate into cost estimates.Analyze project risks and develop strategies to mitigate cost uncertainties.* Project Management:Manage all aspects of civil construction projects from initiation to completion.Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans in collaboration with the project team.Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or delays, and implement corrective actions as necessary.Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on project status and address any concerns.* Quality Assurance and Compliance:Ensure that construction work meets project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to verify workmanship and compliance with contract requirements.Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in estimating and/or managing civil construction projects.Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques.Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools.Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Compensation/Benefits:Competitive salary paid on experience401k matchHealth/Vision/Dental/LifeLucrative profit-sharing bonuses - yearlySend resume to for more informationAll qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.GPAC (Growing People and Companies) is an award-winning search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States since 1990.
