Estimator Key Responsibilities: Review project specifications, blueprints, and other relevant documents to understand the scope of work, materials required, and project timeline. Utilize estimating software, historical data, and industry knowledge to prepare accurate cost estimates for glass installation, replacement, and repair projects. Work closely with suppliers to obtain pricing and availability for glass products and other materials needed for projects. Collaborate with project managers to develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that estimates align with financial constraints and profitability targets. Communicate effectively with clients to discuss project requirements, present estimates, and address any questions or concerns. Identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering without compromising quality or safety standards. Evaluate potential risks and challenges associated with projects, such as site conditions, logistics, and regulatory requirements, and incorporate risk factors into cost estimates. Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, contracts, and other relevant documents throughout the project lifecycle. Stay updated on industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new technologies to enhance estimating accuracy and efficiency. Requirements: Minimum of 3 years' experience as an Estimator. Experience in estimating and quoting for glass and glazing projects. Knowledge of construction industry practices, materials, and techniques. Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical specifications. Excellent attention to detail and organization skills. Familiarity with industry software and tools, estimating software, and project management software.
