Full job description Description: We are seeking an experienced commercial project estimator for a large general contractor in Michigan that will be focused on the commercial and retail project book of business. Projects include ground up and renovations for grocery stores, churches, retail buildings (hardware stores, car dealerships, banks) ranging between $200k and $50 million. This person will be expected to support current projects and change orders for those bids, and perform conceptual estimates for current projects in bid stage without architectural drawings or blueprints.
Work Environment Midland, MI office. They have their own small campus of corporate buildings Will sit in own office in the Estimating division Site travel as needed Salaried role but typically working Mon-Fri, 8-4:30/5pm (flex with just getting the job done). Qualifications: Must be able to perform conceptual bids for commercial projects 8+ years experience estimating on commercial projects ranging from $200k to $50 million 8+ years experience reading and bidding from new build blueprints and change order requests to current projects for a general contractor Must have a strong and confident personality 8+ years of estimating experience from a general contractor (not a sub) About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
