Position: EstimatorEstimator Responsibilities:Project Estimation: Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects.Bid Preparation: Develop detailed bid proposals, considering labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs. Ensure bids are submitted in a timely manner.Takeoffs and Measurements: Conduct material takeoffs and measurements from architectural and engineering drawings to determine quantities needed for project estimates.Vendor and Subcontractor Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. Obtain competitive quotes for materials and services.Cost Analysis: Analyze project requirements and constraints to provide cost analyses and cost-saving recommendations.Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of project budgets. Monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with construction projects. Propose risk mitigation strategies.Value Engineering: Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to find cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality.Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of estimates, bids, and related correspondence. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.Bid Review: Participate in bid reviews with senior management.
