We are looking for someone who can inspire and prepare scholars from all backgrounds to achieve their dreams, contribute to the community, and continue learning throughout their lives. As an Assistant Coordinator, your main responsibility will be to develop, communicate, and maintain the service model for our custodial services. You will also oversee the training, supervision, and evaluation of our custodial employees, ensuring compliance and accountability for all custodial responsibilities. Working closely with our facilities operations management team and industry experts, you will help procure, evaluate, and maintain custodial equipment and tools to maximize efficiency and protect our assets. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Designing and conducting training for new custodial hires Assessing and proposing custodial/maintenance equipment needs through capital purchases Informing new custodial hires about workplace safety, policies, and procedures Communicating and demonstrating housekeeping standards to building operations supervisors and engineers Establishing sustainable housekeeping standards in collaboration with stakeholders Setting goals, making observations, collecting data, and assessing the performance of all custodians Inspecting the quality of custodial work to ensure it meets our standards Researching and working with industry experts to establish efficient housekeeping methods Performing routine performance evaluations for custodial staff and building engineers Coordinating summer cleaning programs and district-wide custodial staff trainings Maintaining facility mapping for maintenance and upkeep purposes Using preventive maintenance software to maintain standards at all sites Communicating and training custodial staff on preventive maintenance procedures Directing special services teams such as paint crew, carpet installation crew, and summer casual staff Assisting in maintaining the painting and carpet replacement schedule Screening, interviewing, and hiring custodial team members Organizing regular meetings with building engineers to address common areas of interest and collaborate across departments Performing other duties as assigned Qualifications : Education: High school diploma or GED
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Planning, designing, and delivering training Effective written and oral communication Supervision, analysis, and assessment Collaborative problem-solving Required Work Experience: Minimum of eight years of experience in housekeeping and facilities equipment management Required Supervisory Experience: Minimum of five years of management experience or a combination of college degree and relevant experience Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform all the physical activities required of a custodian Capable of working in confined spaces Capable of working at heights License/Certification: Required upon hiring: First Class Boilers with a chief boilers license within three years, CPO in one year, and EPA underground tank certification preferred within one year Salary: View salary grids on pages 3-4, Section 1 of the Management Personnel I-M agreement
Salary Range: $90,433 - $102,462
Work Schedule: 225 work year
