About the opportunityHomeward Title is essential to the Homeward experience, bringing all closing components in-house for one seamless experience. Homeward Title seeks an accomplished, high-performing Escrow Officer to join our team. This person is responsible for ensuring a contractually accurate real estate transaction closing, expert handling of monies, and the clean, legal transfer of Title. They are chartered with providing an impeccable experience to our Customers and Agents as it relates to the Title and Escrow part of the Homeward process, communicating proactively and clearly to set expectations well with all parties, including the Agents, Buyer, Seller, Lender, and Homeward account team members. They partner closely with the Homeward and Homeward Mortgage closing teams to get complete alignment of transaction terms, fees, and details. This role is the primary responsible party from Title for an accurate and legal transaction close and transfer of Title. Note: This role requires being in theAustin areaand being able to commute to our office on an as-needed basis. It is atemporary, full-timeposition expected to last 120 days and possibly convert to permanent status.In this role, you will be responsible for:Processing escrow documents by established company policies and procedures and TDI regulations (or the equivalent for non-TX states)Acting as a neutral third party between buyers and sellers during all real estate transactions, managing funds, and processing all related transaction detailsCompleting transactions involves determining requirements, clearing titles, assembling, preparing, and reviewing all closing documents, preparing and finalizing settlement statements, HUDs and Closing Disclosures, and disbursing related funds.Demonstrating high levels of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and focus on deadlines Providing an incredible customer experience by being informative, responsive, patient, and friendly in all interactionsCollaborating with internal closing teams to ensure precise, accurate alignment of all terms and fees of the closingEliminating/minimizing any E&O costs to the business associated with errors in fee collection What you'll bring5+ years of Escrow Officer experienceCurrently licensed as an Escrow Officer in TXKnowledge of legal documents with the ability to analyze and evaluate documents as they relate to closingsSoftware experience with Qualia is strongly desired. Experience with Ramquest, Softpro, Resware, LandTech, or similar software will also be considered.Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional communication skills with clientsStrong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
