Equipment Operator

Job summary
Qualified candidates will be responsible for unloading barges, loading, and unloading bulk liquid trailers, basic maintenance activities, certain manufacturing activities, upkeep of operational documents, and promoting a safe work environment.Training and guidance will be provided.

Requirements
• Mechanical experience: welding, pipe fitting and other mechanical experience (preferred)• Commitment to being on time• Basic computer skills• Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.• Ability to take direction and follow instructions.• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.• Ability to write simple correspondence.• Ability to communicate effectively with others in the terminal.• Physical demands: Ability to stand for periods of time, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, crouch, and move up to 50 pounds.• Work environment: Exposure to loud noise, hazardous materials, chemicals, outside weather conditions, and fumes or airborne particles.• Ability to work overtime, including weekends and holidays, and rotating work shifts.
