Responsibilities
• Conduct safe and accurate compliance sampling• Maintain sampling and monitoring databases• Ensure compliance with permits and regulations• Communicate regulations to site personnel• Provide environmental awareness training• Complete permitting activities in a timely manner• Coordinate and manage environmental projects• Conduct regular inspections• Inform Environmental Superintendent of issues• Comply with company policies and procedures
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred• Previous experience in mining or environmental programs• Strong technical and analytical skills• Strong organizational and administrative skills• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Ability to work as part of a team• Ability to work independently• Experience with relevant software packages• Preference for experience at an open pit or underground gold mine
