Responsibilities
• Review project plans and/or materials providing guidance, comments, and approval of plans to contractors and/or sub-grantees.• Maintain proper documentation for all projects/sub-grants/contracts managed.• Perform BMP inspections and participate in watershed team meetings and field days.• Manage sub-grants, cooperative agreements, contracts, and program budgets.• Maintain current level of knowledge and training related to NPS issues, applicable BMP's, grant requirements, and other NPS mitigation tools and techniques.• Review project documentation, approve project costs, and ensure develop interim and final reports.• Coordinate with all partners working on funded projects to ensure proper and timely implementation of project goals and milestones.
Requirements
• Candidate needs to adapt quickly to situations, identify problems and propose solutions, and effectively communicate with landowners and partners implementing BMPS and watershed plans.• Can embrace new ideas and can work effectively both independently and in a team environment.• Has good writing and computer skills.• Effective use of adaptive management to prioritize work and respond to needs of partners.• Ability to interact with partners and stakeholders and manage projects to ensure projects are completed on time within budget.
