**Job Description**

**AECOM** is actively seeking an **Entry Level Water Resources Engineer** to be based in the Germantown, Maryland or Arlington, Virginia office to join AECOMs Water market.

_This position is expected to begin in May 2024._

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Assist in the development and application of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and analyses related to floodplain management studies and a variety of water resources projects.

+ Prepare engineering related calculations and develop reports and visual aids.

+ Perform assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to conduct engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.

+ Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision of project management and/or an experienced engineer.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

+ Due to the nature of the work and federal client requirements, US Citizenship is required.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification (or pursuing).

+ Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic analyses utilizing industry software (e.g., ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, and HEC-HMS).

**Additional Information**

+ Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $64,000.00 - $90,000.00.
