Job Summary For those interested in Seed Technicians role, then this is the perfect job for you. You will be responsible for seed production within a location. Additionally, activities may require bending and lifting, long periods of sitting or standing. This role is for an entry level Seed Technician working within our North America Vegetables Seeds Division Quality Control Team.
Job Description Responsible for creation of Physical Sample Numbers and movement/logistics of physical samples, performing designated physical seed quality analysis Moisture content, seed counts, physical appearance, physical purity, color checks, soil tests and useable transplant evaluation. Processing samples in greenhouse environment from sample receival to plant evaluation. Duties and responsibilities include, inspect, operate, and maintain equipment, submit work orders when repairs are needed. Skills Required Follow and maintain the ISO Quality Management Standards as prescribed. Able to work on climate control cold environment and to obtain Forklift driver certificate, if needed. Candidate is also required to follow all HSE Standards. This entails wearing required PPE and taking necessary job safety precautions while working in the Warehouse, Lab, or Greenhouse. Ability to work in a fast-paced global and multi-cultural environment. Able to lift to 60 pounds. Education/Training/Certifications Education is High school diploma or equivalent (GED) Additional Requirements Must be able to pass drug screen & criminal background check Follow and maintain the ISO Quality Management Standards wear proper PPE and take proper safety precautions while working in the lab or greenhouse. Potential to work on climate control cold environment, able to obtain Forklift driver certificate.
