Job Description SummaryThis is a dynamic and highly respected shop-based generator repair engineering role supporting manufacturing technology development, new product initiatives and critical execution engineering support, for all OEM and targeted oOEM fleets of generators.The Core Service ITR Engineering team is responsible for providing generator engineering support for all activities associated with routine maintenance, parts, repairs, and upgrades.The Generator Repair Technology Engineer (RTE), based in the Atlanta Service Centre, will support local repair engineering development, dedicated to enabling the Generator workshop to execute projects to a high quality. The role covers engineering support for tooling and process development, process qualification, process implementation and engineering documentation. Additionally, the RTE will provide support to the existing Generator Project Leaders within the workshop.This role will require you to collaborate with both Global Repair Engineering network and Core Service ITR region engineering teams. Start and end times flexible.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesProvide support to the Atlanta shop activities with Repair Instructions, Inspection & Test plans, Bills of Materials (BOM), supporting tooling design and provision, new process implementation and support for existing processes.Develop expertise in generator component repair, processes, tooling, and testing.Provide support to the development and improvement of existing generator maintenance, and repair processes and procedures.Support Lean manufacturing through cost reduction, cycle reduction, and product quality enhancement projects.Author or contribute to the development of Repair Instructions / work instructions / standards and design practices associated with this technology area.
