Responsibilities:
Assist in financial analysis and reporting to help guide business decisions.
Manage journal entries and upkeep of the general ledger.
Support the preparation of accurate financial statements.
Engage in diligent research regarding accounting standards and regulations, particularly GAAP.
Participate in essential financial management activities, including budgeting and forecasting.
Work alongside various departments to ensure financial data is collected accurately and promptly.
Aid in the preparation of tax returns and compliance with financial documentation requirements.
Maintain meticulous financial records through double-entry bookkeeping.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
Strong grasp of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Proficiency in managing financial records and performing double-entry bookkeeping.
Capable of analyzing financial data and preparing detailed reports.
Knowledge of the financial services industry and its regulatory standards.
Previous exposure to wills, trusts, and estate law is advantageous but not required.
Exceptional attention to detail with robust financial and analytical skills.
A proactive attitude towards managing financial tasks and solving problems.
