The Enterprise Architecture team is comprised of Enterprise and Solution architects playing a critical role in providing enterprise-level project solutions and strategies. We collaborate with the business and IT subject matter experts across application, data, security, and infrastructure teams turning vision into modern industry standard solutions and roadmaps.
As a Senior Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for leading enterprise responses to disruptive forces by identifying and analyzing the execution of change toward desired business vision and outcomes. This individual will lead, prioritize, and develop the overall Enterprise Architecture (EA) discipline for the enterprise, in conjunction with the other EA roles and with business and IT leaders. An enterprise can be a business unit, an entire corporation, a government agency, or a collection of businesses joined together in a partnership. At the senior level, it is expected to have proven capabilities in the job duties and can provide leadership in those areas.
This role is hybrid (Tue & Wed on-site) for candidates in Kansas City metropolitan area and open to qualified remote candidates outside of Kansas City area but only within the US.
How you'll spend your time:
Research, drive, and lead adoption of emerging technology trends, disruptions, and practices relevant to the organization. Lead and/or facilitate strategy development for assigned domain. Engage leadership to identify business and technology-enabled innovation opportunities that enable and drive business outcomes. Lead the development and application of principles, standards, and patterns through the architecture assurance and governance model. Develop, maintain, and evolve the architecture and solution context (current state, transition state, and future state) across domains. Lead the analysis of the business-IT environment to detect critical deficiencies, legacy, and technical debt, and recommend solutions for improvement. Lead the evaluation and selection of software and technology product standards and services, as well as the design of standard and custom software configurations. Work closely with the product portfolio owners and product managers to drive a robust architectural runway that can support future business requirements throughout the product and solution lifecycle. Coach, mentor, and collaborate with technical subject matter experts and architecture peers to develop an architecture that enables and drive new business capabilities and operating models. You have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. You have at least 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years of in-depth experience in enterprise architecture. You have proficient experience with software development methodologies, software development and QA standards, IT policies, procedures, and technology standards. You have knowledge and understanding of Industry Standards, Architecture Principles, Methods and Tools. You have strong customer service skills, leadership skills, organizational skills and analytical skills. You have exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments. You have leadership experience in managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders. Bonus Points If:
You have broad knowledge of the Banking and Finance sector and can identify patterns, inter-relationships and opportunities to shape Architectural Strategies, Architectural Policies and Target Architectures. Compensation Range:
Minimum: $99,750.00 - Maximum: $257,250.00 The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB's standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors. In addition, this range does not encompass the full earning potential for this role. Please see the description of benefits included with this job posting for additional information.
