As an Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of an organization's enterprise-wide technology infrastructure. You will also be responsible for aligning
technology strategy with business goals, ensuring consistency and interoperability of systems, and managing the overall architecture of the enterprise.
The Enterprise Architect catalogs, develops, coordinates, communicates, maintains, and enforces the overall Enterprise Architecture Models, Representations, Initiatives, Capabilities, and Standard Components used by the Enterprise to perform all business and technology related activities. Key Responsibilities:
Strategy Alignment:
• Ensure that IT strategy and architecture align with the organization's business strategy and objectives.
• Identify opportunities to leverage IT to enhance business capabilities.
Blueprint Development and Implementation:
• Create a comprehensive EA blueprint that describes the current architectural landscape, as well as a future state that supports business objectives.
• Develop roadmaps to transition from the current to the future state.
• Design and oversee implementation of the enterprise-wide technology solutions that support business growth, operational efficiency, and innovation.
• Participate in the planning and execution of technology selection, procurement, and implementation projects.
• Provide leadership and drive resolution of inter-program and inter-project issues.
• Oversee the integration of new technologies and applications into the existing IT infrastructure.
• Update and maintain key Enterprise Architecture deliverables.
Standards and Guidelines:
• Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture framework, principles, standards, and guidelines.
• Document and maintain a repository of architecture artifacts.
• Continuously assess and refine the EA practice, methodologies, and processes.
• Foster a culture of innovation and encourage the exploration of new architectural approaches and solutions.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing across the organization.
• Ensure that projects adhere to these standards to maintain consistency and coherence across the IT landscape.
Stakeholder Engagement:
• Engage with various stakeholders, from senior-level executives to IT teams, to gather requirements and ensure buy-in for architectural decisions.
• Facilitate communication between business and IT units.
• Facilitate ongoing communication and publicity efforts for the Enterprise Architecture within both the information technology community and various business units.
Governance and Risk Management:
• Implement architecture governance processes and structures, such as Architecture Review Boards.
• Review projects for architectural alignment and compliance, and manage exceptions.
• Assist with change management processes to ensure smooth transitions when implementing new architectures or technologies.
• Monitor the impact of changes on the enterprise architecture.
• Identify architectural risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure architecture supports security, compliance, and other risk management requirements.
Technology Evaluation and Selection:
• Identify opportunities to optimize and streamline technology infrastructure.
• Assess and recommend technologies, tools, and solutions.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies and best practices to drive innovation
and ensure the enterprise architecture remains modern and future-proof.
Capacity and Performance Planning:
• Ensure that the architecture supports scalability, resilience, and performance requirements.
• Monitor the performance of IT systems and recommend improvements.
Specific Focus:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive enterprise architecture for Global Supply Chain (GSC) systems, encompassing business, information, application, and technology architectures.
• Analyze and evaluate current GSC systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement and alignment with business strategies.
• Develop and maintain the strategic roadmap for GSC systems, aligning technology solutions.
• Design and implement enterprise wide GSC technology solutions that enhance efficiency, visibility and control over E2E Supply Chain, including planning and forecasting, sourcing, logistics, manufacturing and quality management.
• Collaborate with finance teams to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications and system design.
• Lead the design and implementation of GSC systems, ensuring integration with existing systems and adherence to industry best practices.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of data models, data flows, and system architecture to support GSC operations. Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Information Systems or similar. Master's degree preferred.
• Extensive experience in IT architecture design, implementation, and management.
• In-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF, Zachman, or others.
• Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to align technology solutions with business strategies.
• Proficiency in architectural modeling tools and techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex technical requirements and constraints.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
• Project management skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple initiatives.
• Experience with cloud-based architectures, enterprise-level applications, and integration technologies.
• 7+ years of working as an Enterprise Architect and minimum of 10 years working in IT and technology role.
• Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect role within the Supply Chain domain.
• In-depth knowledge of Supply Chain, including production planning and procurement, logistics, warehouse management, manufacturing and quality management, transportation management.
• Strong understanding of supply chain systems, such as ERP (e.g. SAP S/4 HANA), Warehouse Management System (e.g. Manhattan), Planning and Forecasting (e.g. Kinaxis), Transportation Management Systems (e.g. Oracle Transportation Management), Source to Contract (e.g. Synertrade), Procurement (e.g. Coupa), Manufacturing Execution (e.g. iTAC, Aveva), Supplier Management (SupplyON) and advanced analytics tools (like BW/HANA, Tableau).
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-wide technology solutions in Supply Chain Domain.
