We believe in the power of people and the long-term competitive advantage that can be derived from helping our employees achieve their fullest potential.Who are we looking for?As a Shop Technician you will be hands-on involved in engineering projects working within a team-oriented environment. The Shop Technician will be consistently using new processes and materials to serve our customers in aerospace, defense, and other industries. You can also expect to do fixturing, set ups, and operate CNC machinery to fabricate complex prototype parts. Other job responsibilities will include performing machine maintenance, maintaining shop equipment and shop cleanliness, assisting in complex assemblies, supporting engineering tests, performing first article inspections, assist engineers on fabrication and best practice, and other shop duties. You will be expected to work in several different fields including, composite fabrication, electrical systems, wood working, 3D printing, welding, and engineering testing.What you get to do!Perform CNC Operations, to include programming, machine set-up for 3-4 axis vertical milling capabilities, CNC Lathes.Operate Manual equipment such as mills, lathes, drill presses, saws, etc.. Operate machines in accordance with internal process and any other required paperwork (i.e., drawings, specifications, etc.)Use manufacturing paperwork (travelers, blueprints, sketches, etc.) to manufacture products that meet quality requirementsInspect and verify work to ensure it meets specification requirementsProvide exceptional customer service for internal and external customersProvide rapid prototyping services from concept to part delivery Teach Engineers hands on skills / best practicesLearn new skills, build your portfolio, work on ever changing projectsWhat you will bring to the TeamMUST HAVE:Associates degree in a technical field (Preferred) (Or) Skilled Trade/Technical Certification(Or) 5 years experience in a related industry Minimum of 2 years of experience in one of the following: CNC Machining, Tool and Die Making, Welding, Composite Fabrication, or Aerospace mechanical systemsAbility to read & understand blueprints and technical documentsMust have the ability to recognize there is no one size fits all approach to fabricatingMust be able to rethink how work is done to make modifications and improvements to productsBasic computer knowledgeAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formAble to multi-task and operate in a complex environmentMust be able to react and execute on changing prioritiesMust be self-sufficient and understand job responsibilities Team building and collaboration skills are a must; work across all disciplines to solve complex engineering problemsMust be willing to learn new skills in composite fabrication, electrical systems, welding, woodworking, additive manufacturing and engineering testing Other Qualifications:Aerospace MechanicAirforce / Navy Veteran Willing travel to customer sights, no more than 5 days per monthProficient with inspection gauging (calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.)Significant experience drafting parts, assemblies, and installation drawings using GD&T (ASME Y14.5) best practicesExceptional communication skills, both written and verbalSalary Range$60,000 - $80,000 depending on experienceThe BIG payoffWe are a company who is going to make a difference in the industries and the communities in which we choose to operate.Every employee of Re:Build will share ownership in the company and will share in the financial rewards of the success we achieve together, at all levels of the company!We want to work with people that reflect the communities in which we operateRe:Build Manufacturing is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
