Job summary
NV5 is seeking an Engineering Technician for our Cary, NC location.Responsibilities include monitoring activities on construction sites and performing testing of soils, concrete, and asphalt pavement materials.A company truck, phone, and safety equipment will be provided at our office.

Responsibilities
• Monitoring activities on construction sites• Performing testing of soils, concrete, and asphalt pavement materials• Working in outside environmental conditions• Carrying, lifting, pushing/pulling heavy objects• Walking over rough and uneven terrain• Standing up to 10 hours a day• Seeing, smelling, hearing, talking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, twisting, crouching, crawling, reaching, grasping, sitting, standing, and walking• Possibly working weekends, overtime, and/or overnight with travel• Additional physical duties as necessary
Requirements
• Candidates without work experience will be trained• Prefer candidates with construction-related work history• Basic math and writing skills• Strong work ethics• Ability to work as a team player
