Position Summary and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, improving, and performing general, routine and preventive maintenance on various Equipment located in the Environmental Test, Marking and Solder Dip process areas. Must know how to set up and operate, Environmental Test Chambers, Mechanical Shock, Centrifuge, Vibration, and Fine Leak test Systems.This position will work in a fast-paced collaborative environment that is focused on quality work with internal clients.
Trouble shoot problems with the equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
Change lead form tooling and perform routine preventative maintenance, as well as occasional troubleshooting of mechanical forming devices.
Perform in house preventative maintenance of simple mechanical tooling, Ionizers, ESD stations, and other.
Become proficient in the Military Standard Test Method associated with the lab equipment.
Download test files from Environmental Test Chambers and other Test Systems for network storage.
Perform light computer programming of solder dip machines, Temperature cycle machines, and Laser marking systems.
Work closely with process engineers to understand process equipment interactions and limitations relative to operating specifications.
Work with process engineers to develop fixtures and tooling to support the processes.
Support production as needed, and setup the equipment for various processes.
Work with outside vendors for calibration and repair of the equipment.
Assist with start-up and acceptance testing for new equipment.
Generate and maintain standard equipment documentation (e.g. PM’s, checklists, SOP’s, etc.).
Ensures a clean and safe maintenance work areas using the 5S manufacturing methodology.
Understand and follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and requirements.
Program and support Epoxy Dispense machine in the Cleanroom.
Program and support Non-Destructive wire bonding equipment in the cleanroom.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

AA/AS degree in electrical/mechanical or equivalent training with minimum 5 years’ experience.
Industry experience in a semiconductor or manufacturing environment. Candidates with experience preferred.
Must have good communication skills.
Must be able to read, analyze and interpret problems to provide solution.
Must have good manual dexterity to handle small semiconductor devices without damaging them. Some microscope work is required as part of the troubleshooting analysis.
Must be comfortable handling small tools.
Read and understand process instructions, work travelers, and Military Standards.
Knowledge of environmental test equipment and have machine programming experience, and have troubleshooting skillset.
US citizenship and fluency in English.
Proficient computer skills to include Windows OS, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, MS Access), In house data base system.
