OVERVIEW: To support engineering by performing tasks that involve fabricating, assembling, testing, evaluating, troubleshooting, and programming, mechanical, and electromechanical devices and fixtures. In addition, this position will include documentation duties that include part number maintenance, bill of material creation, and processing engineering change requests. Assist Production when required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Perform tasks involving the fabrication, documentation, maintenance, and assembly of various devices and fixtures Performs tests and records data Create new item masters, BOMs, Routings, quotes, and product specifications Work closely with Sales and Production to provide timely release and implementation of new products, major product updates, and miscellaneous changes Participate in all process areas to ensure the end-to-end quality of the Manufacturing product specification, which ensures accurate supply chain and plant production execution Make changes in existing product specifications, such as specification changes or discontinued items Ensure changes are documented, filed, and communicated to all related departments Assist in processing Engineering Change Requests Perform on-site service when needed Perform other duties as assigned EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Two-year technical degree in an engineering-related field is required if less than 2 years of experience Or at least five to seven years of related experience without a degree Benefits of working as a Engineering Technician in Red Wing, MN:
