If you are an Engineer with supervision experience looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Emerson Chanhassen location, you will use your knowledge of Engineering and automated equipment design and build to create solutions and support systems that meet the needs of manufacturing processes working with your team in a shop environment. You will also use your leadership skills to support a group of (4) Engineering Technicians developing solutions for equipment automation projects and complex equipment support. This role supports the Pressure Sub Assembly Manufacturing groups.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Managing daily activity of Engineering Technician group that includes managing team's project work, career development goals, tasks, and advancement opportunities. Maintains engaging work environment that attracts and retains needed skilled talent on your team. Maintaining safe work environment for yourself and team. Applying technical expertise in the development and/or improvement of equipment. Work involves application of automated equipment design and build knowledge which covers machine control systems, electrical and pneumatic equipment functionality, electrical and mechanical design tools, equipment safeguarding, and electrical equipment codes. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, internal customers, and vendors to analyze problems or deficiencies with equipment designs or components and develops innovative solutions to resolve them. Acts as project leader on major programs and/or projects. Determines project scope, considers need for automation development work, determines internal vs external build, and participates in cost analysis vendor selection process if necessary.  Leading cross functional teams to help solve safety, quality, or downtime issues as required. Who You Are:

For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelors degree in Engineering or Science from an engineering school Minimum of six (6) years of related work experience Legal authorization to work in the United States Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Knowledge of ECAD (AutoCad Electrical) and MCAD (Creo) and able to read schematics (electrical pneumatic and hydraulic) and mechanical 2D drawings. Knowledge of PLC's and automation controllers. Application and program knowledge of Omron and Allen Bradley is a plus. Knowledge of HMI integration (primarily Maple Systems)  Knowledge of machine safety circuit use and function and general knowledge of machine safeguarding best practices. Knowledge of NFPA 79 and 70e, NEC codes and ANSI standards applicable to equipment safeguarding robot implementation. Knowledge of mechanical design and blueprint reading.
