Engineering Equipment Operator ID: B23OR145OR-001 Location: Lakeview Program: BLM Wage/Hr: $31.00 Hours/Week: 10 hrs per day/40 hrs per week Minimum Age: 55? This position supports the Bureau of Land Management Lakeview, OR Field Office. ? The BLM Experienced Services Program is a unique partnership created to help solve the workforce issues facing government agencies. The program connects experienced workers (age 55+) to the BLM to provide scientific, technical, and administrative support. ? BLM ESP positions are meant to provide temporary, project-based support. This position is currently funded for an estimate of 16 weeks. ? A background security investigation may be required prior to the start date. Only those positions with 30+ hours per week are eligible for health insurance benefits; all positions will accrue sick leave. ? The experienced workers participating in the Program are referred to as ?Enrollees? and are not employees of the BLM or NEW Solutions. NEW Solutions is the ESP non-governmental organization responsible for administrative aspects of the program, and the Enrollees work under BLM direction to assist the Agency staff in carrying out their mission. BLM ESP Enrollees benefit from the opportunity to keep technical skills current; to access new training opportunities; to engage in gainful project-based positions; and to undertake meaningful tasks using their experience and talent to contribute to the environment, the national economy, and their own financial security.
Qualifications: Minimum of 5 year(s) of experience in Heavy Equipment/Grader Experience OR HS/GED Degree
Must have valid CDL Duties: Work along side Road Crew
Grader/Equipment Operation 70% Truck driving/Water truck operation 15% Cattle guard repair 5% Vehicle/Equipment Maintenance 5% General Labor/Hand tool work 5% Other: Travel Requirements: Possible travel to Klamath Falls Oregon Overnight travel: 6 Nights for FY23 Health and Safety Considerations: Review job hazard analysis Required Safety Gear: Hard hat/safety vest/gloves Safety Gear Use: Field work Physical requirements: Must be able to list 50 lbs and have current CDL Medical Card.
