***This position is a hybrid role, working in the Austin, TX office two days a week and three days remote. We are seeking a Professional Engineer to join our team. You will serve a primary role in developing electrical conceptual designs and scopes of work for capital projects to improve the existing LCRA Transmission Services Corporation's system, as well as supporting interconnection of a multifaceted and growing mix of resources on the ERCOT grid. Our ideal candidate will have proven experience in electrical substation design, relay and control design, or interconnection engineering, will strive for excellence in all areas of their work, and exemplify LCRA's values of focusing on service, taking initiative, showing respect, operating with integrity, and focusing on safety.You will be trusted to:- Develops electrical conceptual designs and scopes of work to define transmission projects to improve the existing electric grid and/or facilitate the interconnection of new load and generation facilities.- Develops, defines, and analyzes solutions to moderately complex engineering problems requiring complex engineering principles.- Collaborates with engineering stakeholders to define scopes of work across disciplines including structural, civil, telecom, and transmission line engineering functions.- Coordinates project scope reviews between individuals and other disciplines. Ensures timely communication occurs. Develops and conducts presentations to management and others.- Maintains knowledge of electrical engineering principles. Keeps informed of technical developments, industry codes, and safety and/or regulatory requirements which have impact upon the respective engineering discipline.
