Job Description This job is primarily to develop AFSIM-based simulation software to support space control and multi-domain operations. These simulations will support force structure planning, Joint Combatant Command analysis and operations support, Space Force testing and training, and research and development of space systems.
The majority of work will be remote (personal residence) with the expectation of periodic travel to locations with JWICS terminals for classified information exchange, Kirtland AFB for team meetings, and travel to support various customers across the continental US.
Essential Job Responsibilities Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.
Minimum Qualifications 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience. Proficient in C++ Familiar with US and Allied space enterprise. Able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance. Preferred Requirements Proficiency in AFSIM and Python desired. Experience in US and Allied space enterprise position Physical Requirements Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements Software Engineer family.
