What you'll doBecome part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:Responsible for sheet metal design and release of top hat (body side, roof, cowl) parts for new products, ensuring innovative and optimized solutions for Scout trucks and SUVs.Manage the design of parts to meet cost, weight, and vehicle performance targets at all design milestones.Conduct analysis of sections, components, and sub-systems to drive the design of part to support the overall vehicle efficiencies.Develop CAD to support design alternative studies and production development of parts.Participate in collaborative design and creation of a simulation environment for testing new body system concepts and ideas related to vehicle handling, safety features, and overall driving experience.Support the development prototypes for virtual and physical verification testing, including field testing.Proactively stay attuned to consumer experience and propose system improvements accordingly.Contribute to the design of production facilities for body systems of the Scout trucks & SUVs.Manage resources efficiently including supplier partners.Be a key member within the body structures team and liaison with all Scout functions.Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi, MI.
