Engineer Apprentice

Job Description

Through education and on the job training, learn to maintain guest rooms, public space and back of the house areas in good repair by performing various tasks related to a variety of trades including, but not limited to plumbing, electrical, pneumatics and hydraulics.

Through education and on the job training, ensure safe and efficient operation of power plant including boilers, chillers, air compressors and related equipment to supply heat, air conditioning, steam, water and related mechanical services.

Role and Responsibilities: (Includes but is not limited to the following)

Work in awkward positions requiring kneeling, crouching, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting and/or carrying to complete:

Electrical Repair: Toasters, vacuum cleaners, electric pumps, lamps, room air condition motors, blenders, electric hand tools, drill motors, screw guns, water vacuums, repair all hand tools, wheel chairs, etc. using screwdrivers, wrenches, wire strippers and electric metering devices.

Plumbing Repair: Toilets, drains, faucets and water leaks using wrenches, screwdrivers, plungers and electric snakes.

Tile Repair: Silicone, tubs, vanities, sinks, install new floors, vinyl and ceramic walls using silicone gun, and grouting tools.

Special Projects: Assist in roof leaks, water leaks, installations of new products and air filters.

Power Plant Maintenance: Ensure safe and efficient operation of power plant including boilers, chillers, air compressors and related equipment.
