This Systems Management position provides computer systems management supporting the Operational Technology (OT) department. OT provides process automation solutions to support the safe, secure and effective operations for Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) facilities. The types of duties include: Providing hands-on computing hardware configuration and management (servers, workstations, networking devices, etc.) to support mission customers. Installing and configuring operating systems and software applications, including implementation of secure operating system and application configuration management baselines. Providing system and data backup and recovery solutions to ensure high availability of computing systems. Configuring and maintaining group policy and providing domain active directory services support. Providing user account management services including deployment and management of two factor authentication (2FA) services. Providing and maintaining operating systems and applications current with periodic and out-of-band security patching cycles. Troubleshooting and resolving networking and/or other physical and/or virtual / logical problems which are self-discovered or reported by personnel or customers. Implementing, maintaining, and responding to log management solutions such as Splunk. Implementing, maintaining, and responding to security vulnerability and baseline management software, such as Tenable Security Center. Deploying software and system images and configuring thin clients in environments which use thin client computing. Coordinating with OT applications management/software development personnel on server or middleware / database platform configurations. Develop and coordinate technical aspects of facility operations and maintenance to include the development and coordination of construction work schedules and the development or review of design engineering outputs and work packages. Track temporary modifications to facilities and insure accuracy of associated documentation. Perform routine equipment, facility, or area walk downs to conduct equipment maintenance inspections while documenting equipment and facility measurement control data, configuration, and other equipment details to ensure safe and efficient equipment operation and inventory. May function in a variety of contingency coordinator roles that typically support the technical aspects of emergency, fire, security, safety, environmental, regulatory compliance, nuclear material accountability, training, work control, engineering schedules, and maintenance surveillance among others. May provide general technical and engineering design support for analog and digital radio communication systems depending upon assignment. Assist higher level technicians as requested. Security Clearance Information SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
