Full job description Responsibilities OPPD's Renewable Energy Resources team is responsible for the research, analysis, development, and deployment of current and emerging technologies for OPPD's energy resource portfolio. The Renewable Energy Project Development Manager will bring an important skillset and perspective to how OPPD deploys projects to meet net zero carbon by 2050. The Renewable Energy Project Development Manager will build relationships with external partners and the community and collaborate cross-functionally with internal business teams to identify and prioritize sites for solar, wind, and energy storage. This position should be someone who brings passion for and experience in the renewable energy industry alongside the business acumen to generate creative solutions and deliver results in technically and politically complex environment.
Community Presence Renewable Site Portfolio Technology, policy and regulations Cross-Functional Coordination to Ensure Compliance Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, business, or related technical degree. Three (3) years of experience in renewable project development/management Five (5) years of experience with an electric utility, energy supplier, or renewable energy Thorough understanding of the renewable project development process including siting, interconnection, etc. Technical and analytical aptitude; must be capable of learning and understanding renewable energy technologies Ability to develop and maintain internal and external partnerships Knowledge of energy and utility regulatory and legislative frameworks Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Power-Point, etc. Ability to handle multiple projects under limited supervision, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines Good written, oral, and visual communication skills, must be comfortable with public speaking Demonstrated ability to influence and effectively collaborate in team environments Desired: Advanced technical, business, or legal degree Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar software experience Experience with renewable energy contracts (PPA, EPC, etc.) Direct project experience in the area of renewable energy generation, energy production or delivery, energy efficiency, or emerging technologies Experience with financial analysis and business case justification Specific knowledge and experience of wind, solar and/or battery storage Closing Statement Salary Grade: S6
Minimum: $104,645
Midpoint: $130,806
