Job Summary Seeking EN Nuclear Professional XXVII position with expertise in engineering document reviews, safety evaluation development, and support for PDSA changes. Requires experience in DOE nuclear projects safety basis development, commercial nuclear power plant licensing, and knowledge of nuclear safety/engineering, with familiarity in USQ/SE processes and WTP design or Hanford facilities.
Job Description Performance of Engineering Document Reviews Development of Safety Evaluations for potential design changes Support of development of PDSA changes supporting engineering design changes Skills Required Experience with DOE nuclear projects safety basis development, or commercial nuclear power plant licensing or analysis. Knowledge in nuclear safety/engineering. Experience with implementation of the Unreviewed Safety Question (USQ) or Safety Evaluation (SE) processes. Knowledge of WTP design or Hanford facilities. Education/Training/Certifications A bachelor's degree in mechanical, nuclear engineering, or other engineering fields from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience. Additional Requirements Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical (if located at the construction site), and background check which includes verification of employment and education. Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site. (Even if teleworking, must still be able to comply with security requirements to obtain a badge) Must possess the right to work and remain in the United States without sponsorship. Candidates must be US Citizens. This position is a full-time role located in the Richland, Washington project office, and works a 9/80 schedule, offering every other Friday off.
