Employee Benefits Specialist Location Hybrid remote in Henderson, NV : Position Overview The City of Henderson announces an examination to create an eligibility list and to fill one (1) vacancy for the classification of Employee Benefits Specialist in the Finance Department. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year.
Under general supervision, performs administrative and technical functions in support of the City's employee benefits programs and other regulatory programs; provides customer service and assistance to City employees, retirees, and the public; and performs related duties as assigned.
The Employee Benefits Specialist role in the Benefits division of the Finance Department is responsible for day-to-day administration of benefits enrollments, working with City benefits vendors, education of employees regarding their benefits, and assisting employees with claims and other benefits related issues. Position Information: The standard schedule for this position is Monday - Thursday, 7:30am - 5:30pm (4 day work week) This position may be eligible for remote work up to two days per week upon completion of initial probationary period; at least 50% of work time must be spent in-person onsite. Work schedules and remote work opportunities are subject to change.
