The below job description provides details on how this role will help to serve our clients.Job DescriptionThe Red Gate Group is seeking an Emergency Management Specialist to support the Washington Headquarters Service (WHS) Facilities Services Directorate (FSD) Facility Emergency Management Office.The WHS Facilities Services Directorate (FSD) maintains and operates facilities in the NCR. FSD is responsible for nearly 15M square feet of facilities and infrastructure supporting and enabling the Department of Defense Mission. FSD manages the Pentagon, Mark Center, and over 70 leased buildings, serving over 60,000 customers across the National Capital Region from OSD, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Defense Agencies, and DoD Field Agencies, and the DoD Components.FSD's mission is to ensure the 24/7/365 readiness of the Pentagon Reservation for DoD's national leadership to execute their mission responsibilities and to provide the workforce at supported locations a safe, healthy, resilient, energy efficient and operationally effective working environment. FSD provides facility related Emergency Management support services for WHS and FSD staff.Responsibilities Include the following:Research, analyze, plan, develop, and maintain the Facility Emergency Management and Response Implementation Plans for each FSD division and the overall plan for FSDDevelop and update policy documents and standard operating procedures for the WHS/FSD Emergency Response Group (ERG) personnel.Provide support during the COOP planning process and will assist in prioritizing efforts that includes the following: identifies policies, resources, clarification of exercises, and procedures needed to continue mission essential functions until operations return to normal.Work with each WHS/FSD Division to develop, enhance and update Emergency Action Plan(s) (EAPs) which specifically define procedures during normal and emergency management operations for responding to all-hazards threatsRequired Experience & SkillsActive TS/SCIBachelor's Degree in Emergency Management or Homeland SecurityMinimum of ten (10) years' experience in emergency managementSpecific knowledge of Facility Emergency Management functions and emergency response rolesSpecific knowledge of Continuity of Operations Program (COOP) policies and procedures.Specific knowledge of Emergency Action Plan (EAP) policies and procedures.Specific knowledge of Recovery and Reconstitutions planning.Specific knowledge of Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) guiding principles for exercise programs.Specific knowledge of Emergency Notification and Readiness Plans and Procedures.General knowledge of National Incident Management System (NIMS) procedures, especially Incident Command System (ICS) command and general staff functions and emergency response roles.QualificationsRequired Experience & SkillsActive TS/SCIBachelor's Degree in Emergency Management or Homeland SecurityMinimum of ten (10) years' experience in emergency managementSpecific knowledge of Facility Emergency Management functions and emergency response rolesSpecific knowledge of Continuity of Operations Program (COOP) policies and procedures.Specific knowledge of Emergency Action Plan (EAP) policies and procedures.Specific knowledge of Recovery and Reconstitutions planning.Specific knowledge of Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) guiding principles for exercise programs.Specific knowledge of Emergency Notification and Readiness Plans and Procedures.General knowledge of National Incident Management System (NIMS) procedures, especially Incident Command System (ICS) command and general staff functions and emergency response roles.Additional InformationThe Red Gate Group, Ltd. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
