Responsibilities
• Install, modify, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electronic toll collection and audit systems• Install, maintain, repair, and modify various ITS elements such as Dynamic Message Signs, Traffic Data Systems, and CCTV Cameras• Operate technician hand tools and electronic test equipment• Complete administrative paperwork and prepare reports• Requisition supplies and spare parts• Work on ladders and lift platforms• Climb stairs to work on VMS signs• Work on catwalks and structures over bridges• Park on highway shoulders and work next to high-speed traffic• Work in various weather conditions
Requirements
• Minimum qualifications as listed in the job description• Possession of a valid Class B Driver's License• Ability to work with electrical/electronic control circuits• Knowledge or education in electrical or electronic engineering• Military training or graduation from a technical electricity/electronics program• Ability to work at heights and in extreme weather conditions
