Job Location: Twinsburg, Ohio
The Electromagnetics Engineer I is responsible for the support of electromagnetic design, analysis, test, and technical support of the AC and DC air-cooled and oil-cooled generators and generator control units within the engineering department. This includes all phases of the project including but not limited to proposals, development, testing and production support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Supports design, trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict the performances of the subcomponents, top-level assemblies or systems and to optimize design around established requirements for electromagnetic (EMAG) related topics.
•Calculates EMAG related losses within the products
•Actively participates in the Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) and the Multi-Physics Preliminary Model (MPPM)
•Supports preparation, performs, and participates in technical reviews (design, manufacturing, and test, etc.).
•Reviews and understands customer specifications with respect to electromagnetic and performance requirements and transpose them to product performances.
•Participates in investigations and troubleshooting of new or legacy products for EMAG related topics
•Proposes potential solutions to alleviate performance concerns.
•Provides assistance and directly perform static bench testing of new and legacy products; develops systems to gather digital data during testing
•Develops test plan, studies and analyses the data, and evaluates the results for model and simulation validation.
•Adhere to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture
•Regular, predictable attendance is required
•Other duties may be assigned as necessary
•Evening/night/ Extra hours may be required during business peaks. Job Location: Twinsburg, Ohio

•While performing the duties of the position, this role will be regularly required to stand, walk sit, lift, use hands and fingers, handle and feel, reach with hands and arms and observe with naked eye or via various instruments.
•This role will occasionally be required to lift and/or move objects up to 30 pounds.
Work Environment
•The work environment is mainly in office but depending on the phase of the project could be split between office and testing or production floor areas. The environment in some areas may requires wearing PPE or other equipment. Complementary Description Physical Demands

•Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
•One to two (1-2) years' experience (desirable) in Model Based System Engineering, electromagnetics, rotating equipment and/or aerospace preferred
•In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an Associates Degree in Electrical/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent along with two (2) years' experience (desirable) in analysis, rotating equipment and/or aerospace preferred
•Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. person within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. "Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee or Refugee
Knowledge/Skills:
•Demonstrated skills in problem solving, modeling and simulation, design principles, interpreting blueprints, drawings including GD&T and process documents
•Good understanding of design, manufacturing, and test processes and constraints inherent to the aerospace industry
•Experience in ANSYS Electronic Desktop Suite/Maxwell and ANSYS for Thermal/EMAG analysis preferred
•Experience in Fortran and FEA Preferred
•Proficient in MS Office
•Experience with SolidWorks or CATIA V5 preferred
•Ability to interpret complex information and convey a simplified message to team members of varying technical expertise
•Strong desire to learn and take on responsibilities that may fall outside of normal job scope
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
