Title: Electrical TechnicianDepartment: Assembly/ShopReports To: Shop Supervisor/Operations ManagerJob Summary: This position is responsible for assembling electric systems according to the approved drawings and processes. Assembly plays a key role in cost, delivery and quality of Autotec equipment. We supply turnkey systems featuring Finishing Systems, Pick & Place Robotics, Depalletizers, Palletizers, Labeling, Pallet & Slipsheet Handling, Case & Carton Handling, Conveyors and Sortation Systems.Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible to assemble, erect, and put together machines for customer ordersCommunicate as required with other personnel on the same projectSet up, adjust, and operate all assembly toolsMeasure and examine completed assemblies to detect defects and ensure conformance to specificationsKeep accurate track of time dailyMaintain a clean and safe working environment, including wearing proper personal protective equipment including but not limited to; safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, etc.Maintain and secure work toolsAssist with service when requiredAssist with unloading of raw materialsAssist with loading and unloading machineryOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:Able to operate a fork truckMust be able to read blueprintsMust be able to use precision measuring toolsMust be comfortable in shop environment and use shop equipment correctlyFive years of assemble experience preferredManual dexerity required for challenging and high precision assembly workAbility to lift up to 60 poundsBasic reading, writing and math skillsAbility to question quality of purchased or manufactured components and have the good sense to bring potential issues to the design engineers' attentionSelf-motivated and able to work independently and must be able to interface directly with Autotec team and customers when requiredWilling and able to drive a car, or fly on an airplaneWilling and able to travel to customer locations inside and outside of the United States
