Required Skills:
Minimum 2+ years of experience designing for high reliability vehicle systems
Able to learn and navigate subsystems of aircraft, vehicles, or similar large-scale designs
Define, architect, and integrate subsystems into full unmanned aerial systems
Experience with high reliability communication protocols in vehicles, such as CAN, Ethernet, RS-485, and RS-422
Manage power budgets in large vehicle systems
Plan and document signal interconnections between system components and payloads by creating or updating ICDs.
Able to generate harness design documentation applicable to subsystem integration and testing, as well as work with technicians to execute those harness designs
Creates work instructions for entire process of testing and integration into vehicles
Work with teams to troubleshoot integration problems and identify solutions
Understanding of how to debug high and low-voltage circuits
Work closely with other electrical, mechanical, software, test engineers, and manufacturing to deliver fully functional products
Work in a fast-paced environment supporting new developments, active deployments, and customer operated hardware
Concurrently manage involvement in multiple projects at various stages
Has good communication, computer, and interpersonal skills to interface with other professionals, produce appropriate documentation, and to present results to a limited internal audience
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledgeable of Aerospace, MIL, Automotive, or other high reliability design standards and interconnect methodologies
Experience with system design for environmental requirements
Experience with DC/DC, DC/AC converters and/or brushless motors
Experience with high voltage (>100VDC), single- and three-phase AC power
Able to debug complex systems involving networked microprocessors and firmware-controlled electrical or electromechanical devices
Proven ability to use programming to solve challenging problems and increase own/teams efficiency through automation
At least 5 years of engineering experience in aerospace or related technology field in a product development setting
Education:
Bachelors Degree in STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) from an accredited university.
Clearance Level Required:

No Security Clearance is required, but it is highly desired.

Compensation
$82,000 to $161,000

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
