Georgia-Pacific's Consumer Products division is searching for an Electrical Engineer to focus on Automation at the Broadway facility in Green Bay, WI. The Engineer will collaborate with operations by problem solving and innovating solutions that improve asset performance. The technologies will include PLCs, HMIs, Robotics, and Motion Control (Servos). Our Team
This team is a team of passionate Mechanical and Electrical Engineers that are focused on reliability. They cover the entire mill and are Subject Matter Experts that handle the big issues. This role reports into the Reliability Engineering Manager. What You Will Do Execute program changes to improve performance of assets, typically involving Allen-Bradley platforms Troubleshoot machine faults and implement root cause problem elimination strategies Provide training and technical support for operations and on shift maintenance to improve skills and knowledge Provide reliability expertise during the design and implementation phase of new assets as well as ongoing support Maintain reliability data in databases and monitor/develop key reliability measures Develop and support maintenance systems that reduce maintenance costs and increase reliability Manage equipment obsolescence strategies Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Technical Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or other Engineering field OR in lieu of a degree, ten (10) or more years of electrical experience in an industrial setting Experience troubleshooting and programming within PLCs Four (4) or more years of experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environmen t What Will Put You Ahead Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or other Engineering field Information Technology experience Experience with Rockwell and Allen-Bradley Solutions Experience in a role that is focused on Automation
