Electrical Engineer New Freedom, Pennsylvania Contract Job Description Responsibilities
New product development and sustaining efforts for existing designs of wire harnessed used in large, complex cooling systems Example: Build harnesses for interconnects between control panels, motors, and fan wiring All work done with speed of manufacturing, standardization and conversion costs in mind Develop system specifications, qualify requirements, and perform testing of Proof of Concepts Designs will be fed to the design and automation teams for detailed schematic development Interface with cross-functional teams in the manufacturing, electrical engineering, and chiller teams to ensure new design changes are considered Must Haves: Ability to read, understand, and create electrical schematics Ability to troubleshoot and debug electrical and control circuits AutoCAD Electrical Experience Proficient at preparing, checking, and coordinating the release of design documentation (BOMs, drawings, engineering standards, etc.) Experience creating Harness & Power Distribution Drawings Experience with Electrical Panel Layout Experience with manufacturing engineering and processes Product design experience Experience integrating electrical designs into mechanical products Ex: chillers, vehicle systems, etc Ability to manage details of technical requirements including task assignments, tracking, and communications Ability to manage workload effectively (planning, organization, communication of tasks) Strong teamwork skills (will be part of global, multidisciplinary teams working major developments, quality improvements, minor changes, etc.) Full time in person work (New Freedom, PA) to start and during learning phase; potential ability for ~20% remote work when established Experience with modular design / product family with focus on shared components/designs across product families Proficient in electrical component selection Expertise in applying regulatory codes such as UL and NEC Nice to Haves: HVAC system knowledge (chillers, heat pumps, etc.) SAP Experience P&ID Experience Familiarity with manufacturing processes Experience with CSA and CE codes a plus Best Regards,
