What You Will Be Doing - Complete fieldwork to field-truth construction drawings. Make sketches, take photos, measure conductor distances with a laser rangefinder.
- Convert GIS data to and from many different coordinate systems. Copy, edit and reconcile conflicts through enterprise version control software.
- Combine powerful GIS capabilities with engineering standards to create high-quality construction documents.
- Prepare field notes and engineering/construction drawings.
- Interface directly with clients and governmental agencies.
- Create, edit, and update point, line, and polygon features with complex relational databases.
- Import high-resolution CAD drawings into GIS feature classes with extreme accuracy.
What You Need for this Position - 2+ years of experience in Electrical Distribution Engineering
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering (or related field)
- Familiarity with Pepco's GWD system
- Background working with ArcGIS, ArcFM, MicroStation, ESRI Workflow Manager, and Vizio is preferred
