Responsibilities
• Oversees and participates in construction, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and components.• Interprets blueprints, specifications, and instructions to complete tasks.• Plans and schedules work based on skill levels and project needs.• Provides input on employee performance and conduct.• Follows industry safety practices and maintains knowledge of building operations and tools.• Assesses and diagnoses system concerns, develops repair scopes, and collaborates with other trades.• Orders parts, tools, and supplies, and assists with budget planning.• Trains new low voltage shop employees.• Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalency.• Minimum of 5 years of electrical shop leadership experience.• Completion of an approved four-year electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent training and work experience.• Ability to train new low voltage shop employees.• Proficiency with computers, blueprints, and CMMS programs.• Experience with meeting vendors and contractors and scoping out work.• Strong leadership skills with a history of planning and managing work.• Valid driver's license.
