Responsibilities
• Provide technical assistance to maintenance personnel on electrical hardware and software• Locate electrical/electric problem areas and design systems to improve operations of plant machinery• Redesign existing electrical systems when components are obsolete• Coordinate the wiring of electrical equipment and components• Assist in training plant personnel to maintain systems with minimum supervision• Develop new control concepts as required• Troubleshoot PLC's, HMI's, VFD's, etc.• Follow all applicable Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)• Maintain and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)• May perform other duties as required
Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED preferred• 2 years of electrical experience in a manufacturing environment preferred• 5 years of industrial PLC programming and troubleshooting experience required• Pass an electrical comprehension test• Physical requirements: sitting occasionally, driving seldom, standing frequently, walking frequently, using hands continuously, climbing frequently, squatting/kneeling frequently, talking/hearing frequently, two-handed carry seldom, reaching continuously, pushing frequently, pulling frequently, overhead work standing occasionally, ladder climbing occasionally, repetitive twisting standing occasionally, fine motor skills/manipulation continuously, bending continuously, vision continuously, follow directions and routines frequently, concentrate/memorize/recall frequently, analyze data seldom, problem-solving occasionally, work independently with appropriate judgment frequently, read/write/comprehend numbers and words frequently, lift/carry/push weight up to 10 lbs. continuously, up to 25 lbs. continuously, up to 50 lbs. occasionally
